Domestic & Family Abuse Education Officer

Make a lasting impact in this newly created role, to address and help prevent domestic and family abuse. This opportunity is deeply involved in the design and delivery of policy, procedure, education and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Newcastle Anglican is seeking a dedicated and experienced Domestic & Family Abuse Education Officer (DFAO) to lead our commitment to the prevention of, and response to, domestic and family abuse (DFA). This pivotal role drives the implementation of the Ten Commitments for Preventing and Responding to Domestic and Family Violence, adopted by Synod in 2022, and helps build a safer, more respectful culture across our communities.
Reporting to Director of Mission the DFAO will provide specialist advice, education, and operational support to clergy, employees, and managers, ensuring Newcastle Anglican is a leader in creating safe and respectful environments.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NDIS Worker Screening Check, National Criminal History Check, First aid & CPR certificateâ¯and undertake a pre-employment functional medical.
